The Detroit Lions were awarded two new team members off waivers on Wednesday (Sept. 1).

The team scored kicker Austin Seibert from the Bengals and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge on Wednesday (Sept. 1), following the Lions cutting kickers Randy Bullock and Zane Gonzalez to make it to a 53-man roster.

Seibert comes to the Lions via the Cincinnati Bengals, and he’s a welcomed player on the roster, since the Lions had been without a kicker.

Hodge’s first team was the Los Angeles Rams, so there’s a tie to new Lions general manager Brad Holmes. He played with the Browns last year.
