Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah, one of the team’s big hopefuls, has ruptured an Achilles tendon and won’t be playing this season.
Okudah was injured during Sunday’s (Sept. 12) game against the San Francisco 49ers early in the fourth quarter.
He was the 2020 No. 3 overall pick.
Okudah took to Twitter Monday (Sept. 12) confirming the news and saying that his “faith in God’s plan is unwavering.”
My faith in God’s plan is unwavering… The Marathon Continues. 🙏🏾

Lions coach Dan Campbell says Okudah will undergo surgery, go through rehab and return to the field next season. We’re pulling for you, Jeff!
