Following the Lions losing cornerback Jeff Okudah for the 2021 season, head coach Dan Campbell was tasked with needing to find a replacement, and general manager Brad Holmes started looking, too.

Now, the Lions have signed cornerback Corey Ballentine off of waivers.

After playing college football, Ballentine was picked by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was 180th overall. He was waived in November 2020, and from there, claimed by the New York Jets. He was with the Jets up until signing with the Lions.

Let's hope he can work some magic in Detroit.

In other Lions news, the team signed offensive tackle Will Holden off the practice squad Thursday (Sept. 16).
Holden was with the Indianapolis Colts during the pre-season and signed with the Lions practice squad just last week.
