The Detroit Lions Got Penalized for Talking Trash About Someone’s Mom
If you heard about the Detroit Lions getting flagged between quarters during last weekend’s game for talking trash about someone’s mother and didn’t believe it, well, you need to believe it.
Lions left guard Jonah Jackson got a personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct during the commercial break between the third and fourth quarters of last Sunday’s game against the browns. The reason? He was actually talking trash about Jadeveon Clowney’s mother.
“I don’t know what to tell you,” head coach Dan Campbell said during a press conference. “It was something that is said. It was something about somebody’s mother, OK? And there was a lot of talking going on out there, but so it was a penalty.”
“It hurt,” Campbell added. “And look, he knows it. He knows it. He knew it when it came off, but there was a lot of talking going on. And as a matter of fact, while I’m getting told that, I’m hearing talking. But that’s part of it.”
It wasn’t all Detroit, though. There was trash talking during that game, on both sides. But, to talk about someone’s mom? C’mon, man.
