Matthew Stafford Has a Message for Detroit Lions Fans

Matthew Stafford left Detroit for Los Angeles last year, and even as he played for the Rams all season, he felt the love of many Lions fans.

Now, Stafford has a message for those Detroit Lions fans who have supported him all the way to the Big Game. Speaking with the NFL Network after the Rams' win over the Bengals, Stafford was asked for his thoughts on Lions fans who have supported him. Here's what he had to say.

“It was amazing. Like you said, there’s no reason for them to cheer for me anymore. And the fact that they did was just a true testament to who they are as people and who they are as fans," Stafford said.

It wasn't pretty, but Matthew Stafford notched a Super Bowl victory with the L.A. Rams last night (Feb. 13), and the world is commenting on the moment. Read on for a selection of statements from players, fans and more about the big win.
