It’s been a whirlwind past year for Matthew Stafford. The former Lions quarterback took the L.A. Rams all the way to the Super Bowl- and won.
Even though Stafford is in L.A. now, he was back in Detroit with his wife, Kelly, in honor of their expansion of SAY Detroit’s SAY Play Center, called the “Kelly and Matthew Stafford & Friends Education Center.”
At the ceremony, Kelly told Matthew – in front of all to see – that when his contract is finished with the Los Angeles Rams, he’s coming back to Detroit to play for the Lions. Second time is a charm, right? Check out a tweet about the exchange from Jeanna Trotman Kelly told Matthew when his contract is done with LA, he’s coming back to play for the Lions.
Everyone laughed, including the Staffords… but Mitch Albom joked that when Kelly said something is going to happen, it’s going to happen. https://t.co/m0t5zovGac
