Red Wings Will Select Eighth in First Round of 2022 NHL Draft

The Detroit Red Wings will pick eighth in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, set to take place July 7-8 in Montreal.
Detroit entered the NHL Draft Lottery with the eighth-best odds to score the top overall pick. They didn’t move up or down after the lottery drawings.
The Montreal Canadiens drew the top pick.
