There's lots of excitement surrounding the Detroit Lions for the 2022 season. Our big get is University of Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who was the second overall pick in the NFL Draft and got scooped up by the Lions as soon as possible. It's nice that he'll be near his family, especially since they seem tight. Most NFL players seems to get shipped out to areas that aren't near their hometowns.

A lot of hope is going into Hutchinson to help turn the franchise around. I mean, he isn't God, so we can't expect a total miracle, but he will certainly help pad the Lions for this upcoming season. (Sometimes I wonder if even God could help the Lions make it to a Super Bowl or if that's too much of a challenge for Him!)

In a story on JoeBucsFan.com, Hutchinson gets asked which player he would love to sack more than anyone else. As it turns out, it's also a player her really admires: Tom Brady. I'm a big Brady fan and love to see him defy the odds, and it sounds like Hutchinson is, too, so his comments are all fun and games.

"I mean I grew up dressing like Tom Brady for like Halloween and stuff," Hutchinson said. "So like if I were able to smack Tom Brady and get a sack on him, and hopefully, you know, talk some smack when we get up."

Right now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lions aren't scheduled to play each other, so the Lions would have to make it to the postseason to make that happen. I wouldn't hold my breath, but it could happen. Here's to what will hopefully be an exciting upcoming Lions season.

I know the football season is still several months away, but I love football, so I follow closely during the off season. Of course, Aidan Hutchinson is the big talk this year. Locals are stoked to see what he brings to the team. Fingers crossed he can offer some magic.

To get fans pumped for the upcoming season, the Detroit Lions are sharing photos of players in training camp. Hutchinson has some great photos posted, as well as some of the other players.

When asked about how much room for growth Hutchinson has, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters, "He's got a ton of room to really even get more powerful, if you will. So, his strength is good enough to go out there and compete, no problems there, but yet, man, there’s still a ton of meat on the bone with him, which is pretty exciting."
