Tigers Legend Headed to the 2022 MLB All-Star Game

Tigers great Willie Horton has been tapped to be a part of the 2022 MLB All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Horton, who is a four-time All-Star, will be the American League’s honorary coach for the game, set for on July 19 at Dodger Stadium.
Horton was invited to the game by AL manager Dusty Baker.
Horton is a Tigers fixture. The team retired his number 23 in 2000. They also have a statue of him at Comerica Park. His All-Star appearances happened in 1965, 1968, 1970 and 1973.
