I'm pretty sure the entire Motor City was holding its breath as the Detroit Lions kicked off the new NFL season at Ford Field, going up against the mighty Philadelphia Eagles.

Both teams are going into the 2022 season with high expectations. After a high-profile stint on HBO's "Hard Knocks," it also seemed as if the entire country was watching, pushing for the gritty Lions and head coach Dan Campbell to pull off a victory.

Even though the Lions lost 38-35, I'm incredibly happy with how the team played. Aside from an early turnover that resulted in a touchdown for the Eagles, we played tough, smart and accurate. I think this year is different. Thank God for D'Andre Swift, who was definitely a bright spot today.
