The Detroit Lions were expected to lose, and lose big, against the much buzzed-about Minnesota Vikings Sunday (Sept. 25). That didn't happen. But, this game was definitely a heartbreaker. It felt a little retro, with the Lions winning almost the entire game only to fall in the last minute.

The Lions led for most of the first half, but Kirk Cousins and the Vikings came from behind to tie things up going into halftime. When the Lions took the field in the second half, it was obvious they were gunning for a victory. Probably the most troubling things about the second half for the Lions, in my eyes, were all the injuries. We'll have to see next week how many players won't be available for the upcoming game. Even though the Lions were winning for most of the game, they fell in the last minute, following a long field goal attempt that left the Vikings in prime position to get a touchdown. I have to admit that I was screaming at the TV for this one! As if that's uncommon for me, though. It's totally common. I was an emotional wreck for the last two minutes of this game. I'll need some Ben & Jerry's after this one.
