Michigan's defense came on strong in the second half of the Michigan vs. Michigan State game on Saturday (Oct. 29), while Michigan State's offense had a difficult time getting any points on the board, and the Wolverines beat the Spartans 29-7 at Michigan Stadium.
Following the game, things got violent. After the game, video surfaced of a fight in the tunnel involving multiple Michigan State players and a Michigan player. The video shows multiple Michigan State football players punching and kicking the Michigan football player.
During a press conference following the game, MSU head coach Mel Tucker said he didn't know what happened, but "things were heated and we have to figure out what happened." Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh during his press conference said, "Two of our players were assaulted. I saw the one video, it's 10-on-one. Pretty bad."
Regarding the incident, U-M athletic director Warde Manuel said, "The police are looking into it, and it's because they've seen the video."
