Pistons forward Marvin Bagley III will miss an extended amount of playing time this season as he will likely need surgery to repair two broken fingers on his right hand.
The injury came during the first half of the Detroit’s loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Monday.
Bagley’s injury marks the third time this season where he will be unavailable due to injury or illness.
The inability to utilize the 6ft 11in forward on the court couldn’t come at a worse time as the Pistons are already without star guard Cade Cunningham who had his season ended when a shin injury required surgery.
Bagley is expected to be sidelined at least 6 to 8 weeks following surgery.
