Okay, I realize my headline is a bit harsh. But it's no secret that Matt Patricia and the Detroit Lions were not a match made in heaven. He was reportedly very hard to work with, and that's putting it nicely. Now, Patricia is out of a NFL job, and he's apparently interviewing at another team.

Patricia has been with the Patriots as of late, but according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the former Lions coach has been in Denver, talking with new head coach Sean Payton about his interest in the Broncos' defensive coordinator position. Rapoport stated that "Rex Ryan and Vance Joseph are also top candidates" for the position.

Patricia was the head of the Lions from 2018-2020. Time will tell if he gets a stab at the defensive coordinator position in Denver or finds another team. One thing is for certain: He won't be back with the Lions. We're in head coach heaven with Dan Campbell. Also, I want to thank my friend Alex Barth at Boston's Sports Hub for first drawing my attention to this story.
