The Detroit Pistons’ season just wrapped up, and Dwane Casey announced Sunday (April 9) that it was his last game as the head coach for the Detroit Pistons.
He broke the news during a press conference after the game. Casey said that Pistons owner Tom Gores offered him a position in the Pistons’ front office, and he said yes.
Casey has been the Pistons’ head coach since 2018, following serving as head coach of the Toronto Raptors.
This year, Detroit finished the season with the worst record in the NBA at 17-65. They only won four games since the beginning of February.
