Michigan Native Signs to Chicago Bears

For most football players, getting to the NFL is a lifelong dream that's only actualized for the very best.

Now, a Michigan native has signed to the Chicago Bears, making the Mitten very proud.

That player is Ryan Anderson. He's a graduate of DeWitt High School, near Lansing, Michigan. After graduating from DeWitt, Anderson started his college football career as a receiver at Division II Saginaw Valley and continued as a punter at Rutgers. He also played at Division III Olivet College before going to Rutgers.

Last week, Anderson signed a contract with the Chicago Bears. It's a long time coming. He ended his college career at Rutgers in 2017, and he's had some interest from the pros since then. He even signed to the New York Giants in 2019, but nothing was really formal. Now, the 27-year-old is officially a Bear. Check out his celebratory tweet below.
