Labatt’s Free 21+ Skate Night to Take Over Downtown Detroit

The upcoming "Labatt on Ice" event, hosted by the Michigan-based Labatt team, promises an unforgettable evening for beer lovers. Scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., this festive gathering will take place at The Rink at Campus Martius Park in collaboration with Downtown Detroit.

According to the news release, to thank local beer drinkers for making Michigan a top market for Labatt, "Labatt on Ice" covers guests' admission and skate rentals and even offers up some Labatt swag throughout the evening. Skating will be available on a first come first served basis for up to 300 guests. Guests must be 21 and older to participate.

Labatt's Brand Director, Jason Folaron, expressed appreciation for the warm reception Labatt has received in Detroit and across Michigan. He emphasized the city's significance as one of their top U.S. markets and encouraged fans aged 21 and over to seize the opportunity to enjoy a night of free skating, "holiday cheer, and ice-cold Labatt" with their friends. Importantly, participants are reminded to bring their identification.

The chosen venue, The Rink at Campus Martius Park, presented by Visit Detroit, stands as Michigan's family-friendly outdoor skating rink. Located on Woodward Avenue in Downtown Detroit, this setting offers a unique skating experience against the backdrop of the city skyline and Detroit's Christmas Tree.

Campus Martius Park, known as the true heart of Detroit, hosts the city's annual tree-lighting ceremony and is home to a variety of nearby restaurants. These include Parc, Shake Shack, Texas de Brazil, Hard Rock Café, and Central Kitchen. The park is just a short walk from the Detroit International RiverWalk, providing visitors with added experience.
