Former Detroit and current L.A. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been dealing with an elbow injury during the NFL training camp. Stafford also wasn't part of the Rams' offseason program, so Rams fans are a bit, well, nervous.

I mean, Stafford just won the Rams a Super Bowl, so the pressure shouldn't be on too much. But, there's a possibility that Stafford will be sidelined for a while when the season kicks off, which means the Rams will need another star quarterback to lead for part of the season.

So, which quarterbacks would be promising for the Rams? The crew at Clutchpoints.com has put together a story recommending three quarterbacks that the Rams should look at if they're looking for a temporary fill. Read on for the full list, and, er, go Lions!

3. Cam Newton

Newton is a free agent again, and he could be a good pick in a pinch. He last served with the Carolina Panthers.

2. Jimmy Garoppolo

Trey Lance is the San Francisco 49ers official starting quarterback, so it's possible that Jimmy Garoppolo could leave the team. Not super likely, but it's a possibility.

1. Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick is still a free agent, but that might not last long, as there's plenty of buzz about him coming back to the NFL. If Stafford is sidelined, Kaepernick's strength and precision could be useful.
