It's been a two whole days since the Lions brought home an early season win for Detroit, and the buzz just hasn't worn off. I mean, the excitement isn't keeping me up at night or anything, but I'm still pumped, and everyone I know who is a Lions fan is also still buzzing with excitement.

Thanks to being showcased to the world on HBO's "Hard Knocks," there are plenty of Lions fans across America that are also pulling for us to win. Now, following Sunday's win against the Washington Commanders, five Detroit Lions players are getting lots of praise in the national press. Check out the list below!

Oh, and please listen to the WRIF's new podcast, "The Squad with Anne Erickson," on Apple Podcasts HERE, Spotify HERE and below! This week's guest is Jeremy Reisman of Pride of Detroit. Great guy!

D'Andre Swift

With one touchdown, two receptions, five rushes and 56 rushing yards, D'Andre Swift was, well, swift in this game. That was even with an ankle injury and less time on the field. He's my favorite Lions player.

Aiden Hutchinson

With three quarterback hits, six tackles, three sacks and two tackles for loss, Aiden Hutchinson showed why he was such a hot get for the Lions. Let's hope he stays injury free.

Amon-Ra St. Brown

With nine receptions, 116 yards, two touchdowns, two carries and 68 rushing yards, Amon-Ra St. Brown was a huge force in this game. He actually became tied for an NFL record by recording eight or more receptions in a game for eight consecutive games.

Jared Goff

I know, people are skeptical about Jared Goff. But with four passing touchdowns, he had a solid game. He pulled off a win and really showed his worth!

Malcolm Rodriguez

With eight tackles and one big quarterback hit, Malcolm Rodriguez was another favorite at Ford Field on Sunday. What's not to love?
