16 teams who are looking for the opportunity to reshape their futures will be watching closely as the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery takes place tonight at 6:30 PM ET.
Here’s a look at the draft lottery odds as of this writing.
Montreal Canadiens - 18.5%
The Canadiens finished dead last in the league and are looking to capitalize on their guaranteed top 3 pick, hoping to land at the number one spot.
Arizona Coyotes - 13.5%
With a strong chance to pick either 3rd or 4th, the prospects available to the Coyotes will help this team turn their entire franchise around.
Seattle Kraken - 11.5%
This is the second straight year the Kraken have slotted third in the odds, with their chances for a top pick better than their positioning in 2021.
Philadelphia Flyers - 9.5%
With the NHL’s fourth worst record and due to the parameters, the Flyers could draft as high as 1 and as a low as 6 in the first round.
New Jersey Devils - 8.5%
Looking to tighten up some flaws on the ice, the Devils are poised to make a turnaround in the first round.
Chicago Blackhawks - 7.5%
The Blackhawks are in rebuild mode and tonight could give them the spark they need going forward.
Ottowa Senators - 6.5%
With expectations of turning their team around this past season falling flat, the Senators look to the draft for a shred redemption.
Detroit Redwings - 6.0%
If the Red Wings win either the first or second overall pick, it would be the first time in team history that the lottery helped them gain spots in the draft, and also just the second time any Detroit team has gained a spot in the lottery with their own pick. The only other team being the Pistons in ’21.
Buffalo Sabres - 5.0%
The Sabres are expected to have two lottery picks in the draft, resting on the Vegas Golden Knights selection.
Buffalo goes into this year’s draft with a great deal of optimism.
Anaheim Ducks - 3.5%
The Ducks enter the first round with multiple selections for the third time in the past four years.
