  • Leg 1 – Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos, Saturday, January 8th

In my opinion, this is a great spot for the Chiefs. Coming off a loss last week to Joe Burrow and the Bengals, I think they bounce back.

Add the fuel of the loss Burrow just slapped them with, with the opportunity to secure the #1 seed in the AFC, and I’m all in on Mahomes and the Chiefs.

This is a decent size line, but I think the Chiefs win by two touchdowns, as the Broncos have not scored above 13 points in their past three contests.

PICK: Chiefs to COVER the spread (-11.5)

  • Leg 2 – Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions, Sunday, January 9th

Well, the Packers have achieved the goal of the #1 seed in the NFC. It’s looking like Jordan Love will be under center and we know how that panned out last time. They scored their first points of the game with 4:54 left in the fourth quarter.

This screams takes the other team because the Packers aren’t playing for much of anything, but it’s Detroit. Can Love do enough to cover the 2.5 against the Lions? I prefer not to try to predict that.

What I do like here is lack of scoring. The Under right now is set at 44.5, but I see that plummeting if and when they announce Love the starter.

    PICK: Total Points UNDER 44.5

  • Leg 3 – New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins, Sunday January 9th

The Dolphins last shot at making a surprising playoff appearance was spoiled last week. The Patriots just got done scoring 50.

The Dolphins have absolutely nothing to play for at this point, and anything under a touchdown on the spread line is appealing as an ice cold one for me.

I like the Patriots here to keep chugging (no pun intended) as they prepare for yet another playoff appearance.
