You Won’t Believe the Bonus Matthew Stafford Just Got

Matthew Stafford won the LA Rams a Super Bowl, and that, of course, resulted in a bigger contract.
Last season was a rough one for Stafford and the Rams. But the deal is still in place.
Because of the contract, which was a four-year, $160 million extension signed on March 19, 2022, a big part of his signing bonus was deferred.
According to A nice Friday for Rams QB Matthew Stafford: he is due a $30M deferred signing bonus payment by today as part of the extension he signed last offseason.

Yates says other players got big deferred signing payments, too. Those players include Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson ($12M), San Francisco’s Deebo Samuel ($14.035M), Colts guard Quenton Nelson ($19M) and quarterback Matt Ryan ($8M).
