Report: Lions Release Backup QB David Blough, Will Sign Nate Sudfeld

There’s lots of last-minute shifting when it comes to Lions players, which is often the case for any NFL team during the pre-season. Now, the Detroit Lions have reportedly released backup quarterback David Blough, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
As Schefter reports, the Lions plan to bring Blough back into their practice squad. They will also look for a new backup quarterback for Jared Goff.
According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the Lions are gunning to sign former 49ers backup QB Nate Sudfeld.
