Pistons – Hornets Match Up With Potential Draft Implications
After being stuck in Dallas-Fort Worth for a couple days, the Detroit Pistons have made it back home just in time for back to back home court match ups.
Their first to kick off the weekend will be a Friday night game against the Charlotte Hornets.
While both the Pistons and the Hornets sit at the bottom of the eastern conference – Hornets 14th and Pistons 15th, the potential implications for the May 16th NBA Draft Lottery will be on the minds of fans for both teams, especially knowing that the coveted prize of the ’23 NBA Draft will be the projected number one overall pick Victor Wembanyama.
Despite the shortcomings of both teams, excitement could come from the match up of Detroit’s Jaden Ivey who has stepped into the starting point role and from Charlotte’s point guard Lamelo Ball.
Ball with his impressive passing prowess and Ivey with his unmatched explosiveness to the rim could make this one of the funnest games to watch by two under-performing teams.
Tonight will showcase a well rested – be it frustratingly so Pistons team against the Hornets who are looking to regroup after falling to the Chicago Bulls on their home court.
