Multiple Detroit Lions Players Released, Suspended Over Gambling Violations
If you play with fire, you’re going to get burned. Four Detroit Lions players got burned after being released or suspended over gambling violations.
According to the Lions organization, the team has released WR Quintez Cephus and S C.J. Moore after they were suspended indefinitely by the NFL for “violating the league’s gambling policy, including betting on NFL games.” Moreover, Detroit Lions WR Stanley Berryhill and WR Jameson Williams have also reportedly been suspended for six games for additional gambling policy violations.
In addition to the Lions, Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney was suspended for violating the league’s gambling policy. The reports are from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
