The Detroit Lions Have One of the Best Players in the NFL, Report Says

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams are the Super Bowl Champions for 2022, but hey, at least the Detroit Lions have one of the best players in the NFL.

After the Super Bowl, Pro Football Focus released their list of the Top 101 Players from the 2021 season, and one Detroit Lions player is on the list. Just one, but at least we got one.

So, who is the player? Rookie RT Penei Sewell, who was No. 66 on the tally. “The offseason debate was whether the Bengals should draft Jaā€™Marr Chase or Penei Sewell with their first-round pick, and as good as Chase was in his debut season, Sewell was also very impressive,” Pro Football Focus said in the report. “Asked to play both left and right tackle during the season, Sewell earned an 84.5 run-blocking grade and surrendered 35 pressures in total. He had some poor games but offset them with dominant ones at a position that typically takes time to adjust to in the NFL.”

It’s worth noting that Matthew Stafford was No. 43 on the list.
